View PowerPath hosts details

PowerPath is host-based software that provides automated data path management and load-balancing capabilities for heterogeneous server, network, and storage deployed in physical and virtual environments.

The following are the minimum requirements to perform this task:

Storage systems running HYPERMAX OS 5977 do not support this feature.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Hosts > PowerPath to open the PowerPath Hosts list view.
  3. To view the details of a PowerPath host, select it and click An icon showing the letter i.
    The following properties display:
    • PowerPath Host—The PowerPath hostname
    • Version—The PowerPath host version
    • Patch Level—The PowerPath host patch level
    • OS Version—The PowerPath host operating system version
    • OS Revision—The PowerPath host operating system revision
    • OS Patch Level—The PowerPath host operating system patch level
    • Vendor—The PowerPath host hardware vendor
    • License Info—The PowerPath host license info
    • Registration Time—The time the host registered with the array
    • Connectivity Type—Indicates whether the PowerPath Host is connected to the array by iSCSI or Fiber.
    • Cluster Name—The PowerPath host cluster name
    • Cluster Node Name—The PowerPath host node name in the cluster
    • Initiators—The number of PowerPath host initiators -click the number to see the initiators list view
    • Hosts/Hosts groups—The number of PowerPath hosts or host groups
    • Masking Views—The number of PowerPath host masking views - click the number to see the masking views list view.
    • Storage Groups—The number of PowerPath host storage groups - click the number to see the storage groups list view.
    • Volumes—The number of PowerPath host volumes - click the number to see the volumes list view.
    • VMs—The number of PowerPath host virtual machines - click the number to see the VMs list view (see View PowerPath Host Virtual Machines).
